In a detailed statement, the organization called for immediate governmental intervention in the country’s ongoing security crisis.
National President Mazi Okwu Nnabuike highlighted significant concerns about the Defence Minister’s public communication strategy, particularly criticizing remarks that seemingly acknowledge the military’s operational constraints. The youth council argued that such statements undermine national confidence and potentially embolden insurgent groups.
The organization’s statement went beyond ministerial criticism, also challenging a House of Representatives member, Hon. Ahmadu Jaha, for what they characterized as detrimental public discourse about national security.
